Automatic insurance

Each shipment that is carried out through Speedex network and not included in the prohibited postal items is automatically insured as following:

Additional insurance service

Domestic Shipments

Customer can insure the domestic shipment, with insurance cost 0,6% of the insured shipment value.

Insurance consists of total cover of content up to the amount of declared value of 3000 euro, for loss, part or full destruction, if the parcels are packaged sufficiently and at the sender’s own risk.

Shipments with declared value over 3.000 euro are transferred and insured upon agreement and approval with the Speedex Insurance Cover Department.

International shipment

Customer can insure the international shipments, with insurance cost 1% of the insured shipment value.

Minimum insurance charge : 4,50 euro

Maximum declared value is 50.000 USD per parcel

Speedex S.A. does not undertake consequential damage in any case.

Exceptions: Speedex does not undertake the transport and handling of items with the following content:

Money, Fragile articles-not sufficiently packaged, active bank cards, prepaid cards for phone or mobile connection, gold in any form, gold clocks, jewels, precious metals, precious stones, antiquities, objects of art, irreplaceable documents or objects, personal mail, food that may turn rotten, medications, stamps, plants, drugs, explosives, guns or parts of guns, animals, pornographic material and all banned postal items according to IATA.
